Baker Mayfield was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the first overall pick, a major surprise based on reports throughout the predraft process.

According to Odds Shark, the Heisman Trophy winner had just 33-1 odds to be taken at No. 1 a month ago. By Thursday, he was the odds-on favorite at -500, meaning it would have taken a $500 bet just to win $100.

It appears Goldhammer made a bad decision in the heat of the moment, but at least he seems to be standing by his word.
