With six weeks in the books, the playoff picture is starting to take form. The Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints are all undefeated and are taking cotrol of their divisions.
My record for the season is 58-32.
1) Minnesota Vikings (6-0) at Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2)—This is probably the premier matchup this week and features two teams that are throwing the ball very well. Quarterback Brett Favre leads a Viking offense that is second in the NFL in points scored. He has 12 touchdowns, just two picks and a quarterback rating of 109.5. Ben Roethlisberger is leading the NFL in passing yards (1887) and has the fourth best passer rating in the NFL at 104.5.
When you think Steelers and Vikings you think Steel Curtain versus Purple People Eaters, not a passing shootout. I look for a very close high scoring game, but I think Pittsburgh is a tough place to play and this is the weekend the Vikings lose for the first time.
I don't see running back Adrian Peterson having a big game and the Steelers are much tougher at stopping the pass than the Vikings are, which should lead to more points for the Steelers.
