Authors of Pain Beat Heath Slater and Rhyno in WWE Main Roster Debut on Raw

Having achieved all they can in NXT, The Authors of Pain made their long-awaited debut on the WWE main roster Monday night on Raw.

Akam and Rezar answered an open challenge by Rhyno and Heath Slater. They made quick work of the former SmackDown Live tag team champions, hitting the Last Chapter for the victory. 

Somewhat interestingly, The Authors of Pain appeared to signal they're moving on from manager Paul Ellering:

The Authors of Pain were the most dominant tag team in NXT history. They were the second winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, and they held the NXT Tag Team Championships for 203 days.

After they were unsuccessful in challenging for the Dusty Rhodes trophy and NXT tag titles at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, it became clear Akam and Rezar weren't long for WWE's developmental brand. They should freshen up what has become a stagnant tag team division across both Raw and SmackDown Live.
