WWE Hall of Famer Booker T Huffman to Be President of New Youth Football League
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is making a major career change.
The former world champion, whose real name is Robert Huffman, announced Monday he will be the president of a Houston-area youth football league called Football Minds.
"I am proud to be the president of this league," Huffman said in the statement. "This league will challenge the kids on the football field and their minds in the classroom. Teamwork will make the dream work."
He has remained active in the Houston community since retiring from wrestling on a full-time basis, and he announced in December 2016 he intended to run for mayor of Houston in the 2019 elections.
Huffman served as a color analyst on the Raw announce team every week before WWE replaced him with Jonathan Coachman in January. Since then, his on-screen involvement with WWE has been limited to pay-per-view pre-shows.
