Another great ACC football matchup will take place this Saturday on ABC between Miami and Clemson. The Canes and Tigers should provide a pretty entertaining contest.
The Miami Hurricanes come in flying high, ranked 10th in the first BCS poll. They are off to their best start (5-1) in four years and seem to be a legitimate contender.
On the other side of the ball, the Clemson Tigers come in with a 3-2 record. Their squad may also be less talented than what Miami will bring to the table. If you are looking for free college football picks however, the most talented team does not always win. So what should we expect in this game?
The most intriguing thing in this game will be Clemson's pass defense. The Tigers have the second best passing defense in the ACC and the Canes have a very talented quarterback in Jacory Harris. If the Tigers can get the upper hand in this matchup, they might be able to pull off the upset.
Last week Harris had a good game, but was sacked six times. If Clemson can put pressure on him, they will be a factor in this game. The Hurricanes are hoping the offensive line improves their performance from last week.
Clemson has a total defense, ranking 11th in the country. They have put up more sacks than they did all last season. With a propensity to put the other team’s quarterback on the ground, they will give the Canes fits in trying to stop them.
Clemson also boasts a very talented running back in C.J. Spiller. If they can get him going on the ground and keep it close with the defense, this should be a pretty good game.
