Former NFL QB Jared Lorenzen Jokes About Joining XFL as 'He Ate Me'
Jared Lorenzen wants a spot in the XFL.
On Thursday afternoon, WWE chairman Vince McMahon announced his plans to restart the football league that lasted one season in 2001. He stated his intentions of starting with eight teams in 2020.
McMahon will likely want some notable names to head the relaunch. According to Dinner with the King podcast co-host Glenn Moore, Johnny Manziel tops his wish list.

Manziel has acknowledged the trending speculation of his joining the smashmouth football league. Yet he's not the only quarterback available.
Lorenzen, who attempted eight passes for the New York Giants in 2007, advertised his services on Twitter.
While the "Hefty Lefty" already has a nickname worth plastering on the back of his XFL jersey, he pitched a new moniker. "He Ate Me" plays off the popular "He Hate Me" name used by running back Rod Smart.
Having previously weighed in at over 500 pounds, the 36-year-old has embarked on a weight-loss transformation. Given the WWE's penchant for big-bodied wrestlers, perhaps McMahon will take Lorenzen up on his offer.
