An Atletico Madrid supporter reportedly was stabbed three times and taken to hospital ahead of the team's match against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.

Marca reported the 22-year-old was attacked near Las Musas Metro station before Atleti's 2-1 defeat in the first leg of the Spanish cup quarter-final.

Per Mundo (h/t Marca), the fan was injured in their thigh, arm and back, and was wearing attire linked to Ultra group Atletico Frente.

The hosts were defeated in the game and must overturn their deficit in the return match at Sevilla on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
