Manutd isgonna face CSKA Moskva in the Champions League group stage match. The match will be played in Luzhniki Stadium and the kick off time is 17:30 GMT. The match will be played on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009.

The Opponents

Manchester United

They are on very good form. Their team will feel their morale boosted after going to the top of the Barclays Premier League. The whole team has been playing good as a team, and the good news is that the so called Injury List, which haunted them throughout last season as well as at the start of this season, is almost over with; only Hargreaves is left on that list, and his return date is nearing up.

CSKA Moskva

They have a decent form in both Champions League and RPL. But now they have suffered a major blow, as their experienced midfielder Mark Gonzalez will have to sit out of the UEFA CL qualifying phase due to an injury suffered during the World Cup Qualifying phase match against Columbia. They have some fierce competition now as they now look forward to complete a hat-trick of RPL with only five matches remaining in the league, fourth positioned in the table, and still seven points behind leaders Rubin Kazan. Their young winger Dzagoev has been outstanding this season, and a major threat for their opponents.

Possible Team (MANUTD)

It is a tricky tie, and as Giggs, Rooney, Park, Fletcher, and Evra have not flown to Moscow the possible team of ManUwill be like this.

The Arena

The match is  scheduled to be held at Luzhniki Stadium, the stadium where United won the Champions League. The seating capacity of the stadium is 78,360. It was opened in July 31, 1956.

My Prediction

Very tricky tie this one. Difficult place to play, and very cold conditions face both teams. Hopefuly ManU returns back to the Derby game unscathed. I think it will be 2-0 for ManU.

United boasts about a record 13 AWAY UEFA CL matches unbeaten streak, which is yet to be ended.

United's record against Russian clubs is awful as they played three matches out of which we drew one, lost two, and won zero.

CSKA have only lost once against Premier League visitors, and won twice.

CSKA and Manu have no previous meets.

CSKA Manager Juande Ramos has managed English side Tottenham the previous year, and has played against United thrice!
