So the season is over but for some that doesn't matter, as it seems it's not the most exciting part of the year!
Transfer windows eat up whole forest's with ridiculous rumours in tabloid and sports newspapers. This special time of year, is often referred to as "silly season" and silly isn't the half of it.
Every morning, I check a well known sports website for my football updates and for that purpose it serves me very well. There aren't many results to catch up on at this time of the year, so most of my time is spent reading rumour after rumour on future transfers.
I particularly enjoy reading one particular section where they print rumours from tabloid papers that they (a reputable media corporation) have chosen not to run with.
I wonder why?
I'm not saying none of it eventually comes true, as there are plenty of reporters at these papers with more than a foot in many a clubs door.
After whizzing through these rumours the real laugh is found below where the website asks people to comment, if they know of any rumours. It appears everyone and their granny knows someone in the know!
I've therefore decided to share them with you today. Do people really think this **** up or do they honestly think they know better?
According to a self proclaimed Derby County fan, Barcelona have already signed Cristiano Ronaldo with Ronaldinho moving to Old Trafford in return!
Even crazier, was that he believed Ronaldo was staying at Manchester United for another season before the move. That would mean the best player in the world, would be on loan at United!!!
A Celtic fan who believes to be in the know, described how he was expecting Ryan Giggs to sign for the Parkhead outfit this summer. Sadly that wasn't the funniest part, as he also stated Anderson would arrive on loan!
I mean, even if they did hear this drivel, surely the best thing to do is laugh it off and not share it with the big wide world.
Especially not with your name on it!
There was one rumour that did interest me though. Thierry Henry signing for Rangers in exchange for Carlos Cuellar and Alan McGregor. Okay then.
In fact, he was so specific that he could also state that Henry would leave Rangers in the January transfer window, for £17 million!!

His mates Dad, who is on the board of Rangers FC.
Yeah, I believe you, millions wouldn't.
I think I've made my point but I'll finish with a very special announcement.
Arsenal will sign AC Milan's Brazillian wizard, Kaka!

Maybe some "top sources" at Milan told you about the Kaka move? lol. I feel that the press over do it because the fans buy into this nonsense - they obviously want to give the fans what they want to hear.
But, if you ask me about the Ronaldo story specifically - I feel that although the reports might not be accurate, he's not done enough to quell the rumours - he's always stating "we'll see.. etc." and he said after the Champions League that his future will be "sorted out within the next week".. that didn't happen!
I don't think anybody still believes Fabregas will go to Madrid.. why? He's simply said.. "no" too many times - the press must be bored to ask him that question now!

Yeah I think it's shocking he hasn't committed to the club. As for Fabregas, he'll be at Arsenal as long as Arsene.

My source is reliable as my dads best mate's sister goes out with a guy who went to school with someone who plays squash with a gentleman who delivers the hot dog buns to Underhill, and he said he was sure he saw someone who looked a bit french looking in Londay last May.
