Take it to the bank.

If the Pittsburgh Steelers are getting points from the oddsmakers, which they more than likely will be, then take them and the points and prepare to put the money in the bank.

(UPDATE)The Steelers are giving 4 points to Minnesota at this point. Although I am confident they will win, their games tend to be close ones so I would avoid the bet. It is nice to see that the oddsmakers have not lost faith in the champs. Lets not forget our two loses were both by only 3 points. We could easily be 6-0 ourselves.

The Steelers are surely an odd bunch. For those of us who watch and follow them religiously, we know their game. They play down to lesser teams and pick their game up against tougher teams.

Minnesota definetily falls into the latter category.

The Pittsburgh Steelers need to be challenged to play their best. And next week they will surely be challenged. Expect them to shine and play like the defending super bowl champions that they are.

The fact that the Minnesota Vikings are undefeated only hurts their cause.

If I know my team as well as I think I do, I expect this to be their best executed game of the season, on offensive and especially defensively.

After winning it all, although they would never admit it, the regular season must seem less important, almost monotonous. And it shows in their lack of effort certain weeks. Expect to see the team that won it all, this upcoming week and once the playoffs roll around.

Mark my words.
