Sunday's Expert NFL Football Picks: Ravens Vs Vikings Predictions

This week the Baltimore Ravens travel to Minnesota to face off with the Vikings. The Vikings come into the game unbeaten and it represents the best start in Brett Favre’s career. They are 3 point favorites over the Ravens in this one. A 5-0 record is pretty respectable, however, it will all be on the line against a tough Ravens team. As recently as three weeks ago, many in NFL circles felt like the Ravens were the best team in the league. If you are looking for free NFL picks you already knew about their vaunted defense and strong running game. Then with the emergence of Joe Flacco, they also have a passing game to go with it. They seemed to have the complete package. However, losses to the Patriots and Bengals have somewhat changed the perception around them.

This should be one of the best games of the week between two of the best defenses in the NFL. Jared Allen is wreaking havoc on opposing passers and this week should be no different. He will be all over Flacco and flushing him out of the pocket. The big question will be whether or not Flacco can stay up long enough to get the ball to his wide receivers.

For Minnesota, Brett Favre has looked fantastic in the last three weeks. He won the game for them on a last second pass against the 49ers. He put on a show against his old Packers and then played well against the hopeless Rams as well. If his offensive line can protect him and open up holes for Adrian Peterson, they should have some success against the Ravens.

Expect a defensive battle in this one. The team that is able to control the ball and run will most likely win the game. Most of the time, that is the team with Adrian Peterson on the roster. However, don’t count out Ray Rice, Willis McGahee and the rest of the Ravens.
