Eleven of his twelve past opponents have been current of former champions and still questions linger about Jermaine Taylor and his chances of winning the Showtime Boxing Super Six Tournament. The Super Six World Boxing Classic is aĀ Ā SuperMiddlewieght tournament meant to create a unified champion.

During a recent conference call, Taylor made clear he would love to faceĀ Ā Carl Froch in a more advanced round of the tournament.Ā Taylor is coming off a tough 12thĀ round knockout loss to Carl Froch. Froch was losing the fight until his sensational last minute knockdown of Taylor.Ā Ā Taylorās long history of endurance problems has made his fights sensational but also leads one to question how far he can last in this tournament.

Taylor has admitted that he had stamina problems in the past but beliefs he has taken steps to improve his conditioning. Those close to him in training camp have repeatedly reintegrated that āTaylor used to love to eat a Big Macā and that weight and stamina became issues. They believe Taylorās discipline has improved and Taylor has stressed that he is going back to the basics that made him an impressive amateur fighter.

Meanwhile Arthur Abraham who is an Armenian-German said through an interpreter thatĀ he is excited to be fighting Jermaine Taylor. He believes Taylor is a great champion and is excited about one day fighting in America and creating āOscar De La Hoya or Mayweatherā type of blockbuster fights
