Super Six Watch: Jermain Taylor Wants Rematch with Englishman Froch!

Super Six Watch: Jermain Taylor says he’s ready for Arthur Abraham and wants rematch with Englishman  Froch!

Eleven of his twelve past opponents have been current of former champions and still questions linger about Jermaine Taylor and his chances of winning the Showtime Boxing Super Six Tournament. The Super Six World Boxing Classic is a  SuperMiddlewieght tournament meant to create a unified champion.

 

During a recent conference call, Taylor made clear he would love to face  Carl Froch in a more advanced round of the tournament. Taylor is coming off a tough 12th round knockout loss to Carl Froch. Froch was losing the fight until his sensational last minute knockdown of Taylor.  Taylor’s long history of endurance problems has made his fights sensational but also leads one to question how far he can last in this tournament.

 

Taylor has admitted that he had stamina problems in the past but beliefs he has taken steps to improve his conditioning. Those close to him in training camp have repeatedly reintegrated that “Taylor used to love to eat a Big Mac” and that weight and stamina became issues. They believe Taylor’s discipline has improved and Taylor has stressed that he is going back to the basics that made him an impressive amateur fighter.

 

Meanwhile Arthur Abraham who is an Armenian-German said through an interpreter that he is excited to be fighting Jermaine Taylor. He believes Taylor is a great champion and is excited about one day fighting in America and creating “Oscar De La Hoya or Mayweather” type of blockbuster fights
