Scott Coker & Strikeforce may have pulled the rug out from underneath Dana White once again; it has been reported that former Pride Superstar Dan Henderson was unable to come to terms on an agreement with the UFC and his next destination may just be with Strikeforce.

Henderson has been on a reign of terror inside the Octagon with his run as a coach on Season Nine of The Ultimate Fighter and a three fight win streak behind him. The most recent win being his controversial Knock Out of the UK's Michael Bisping; but the only man that Henderson had his eye on was current UFC Middleweight Champion, Anderson Silva.

Silva and Henderson first met at UFC 82 to unify both the UFC & Pride FC Middleweight Championships. Henderson won the first round and entering the Second Round there was a glimmer of hope for Hendo to squash The Spider, but the Second Round was a different story with Silva dominating before finishing Henderson with a Rear Naked Choke.

Yahoo Sports have claimed that sources close to them, say that Henderson is going to sign with Strikeforce. However Henderson's Camp begs to differ claiming that no signing with anyone is imminent; so it isn't set in stone that the 39-year-old veteran of 32 fights will be going anywhere just yet.

The best match-up's for Henderson in Strikeforce would be undefeated "King" Mo Lawal & Strikeforce Light-Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi. Both of these men are incredibly talented young fighters but are yet to be tested by the very best in the world and Dan Henderson is just the man to do it. On the other hand, if Dan Henderson is able to score a victory over for instance, the likes of the Number Three Ranked Light-Heavyweight Gegard Mousasi; than this would show that he is not some old timer who needs to hang up his gloves; but a real contender you need to keep your eyes on.

Any way you look at it, Strikeforce are becoming a more and more legitimate competition for the UFC everyday. With the mutual talent exchange agreement between Strikeforce & DREAM; signing guys the likes of King Mo Lawal & Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro; as well as having some of the Top Ranked Fighters in the world under contract… It seems like it’s only a matter of time until Scott Coker is at the heels of Dana White and signing up Dan Henderson will be putting him one step closer.
