The New York Rangers have been on a roll and tonight they rolled over the LA Kings 4-2.  That makes six in a row and this team is looking far better than most fans would admit!

This game was not the prettiest of games for the RANGERS and the BLUE SHIRTS were lucky that they have the quality goalkeeper they have in Henrik Lundqvist!  Who was steam rolled twice in the game.

For the most part the Kings controlled the puck for a large majority of the third period as the Rangers only had one shot on goal.  The effort was most definitely there, but the Rangers were a step behind this whole game and maybe a little fatigued.

They have played all out since day one and although tonight was a rough game, the Rangers managed to pull through.

They have won six in a row, and they will be going to Canada this weekend to face Toronto again, so the Rangers will be getting a much needed rest.

Brian Boyle scored a goal against his former team. And that forth line was impressive again.

The Rangers have looked very good and although they have managed to come away with the win tonight, it is not hard to see what is missing here.

The last two games Hank has been ran over 4 times and the Rangers defense have not been able to put an end to it. The Rangers need to get tougher on defense. Even if it is just one massive defender to enforce in their own zone. They can not allow any team to take cheap shots on their star goalie. Call it what you will, but when a player rushes to the net he knows what he is doing and the possabilities of crashing into the goalie.  The Rangers need to put an end to this, pronto!

I have read a lot of fans and non fans saying the Rangers were the same team as last year and that they will not make it this year. So here is my break down on this season for the division and conference.

Let start us start with the Devils.

The Devils have no real threat on their team. Last year we saw a fluke of a season with Zach Parise and his 45 goals.  He will not have a repeat this year.  Although the Devs  always play the Rangers hard , the Rangers have better Talent  and king hank will out play marty!

The New York Ilses  have many young guys and these guys are looking to win. They improved their goalie situation as well as their offense.  Player for player, the Rangers have much better talent and experienced players.  The ilses are not a threat.

Philly is looking awesome.  There is not one thing you can pick out that they need to improve on. THAT IS,  EXCEPT FOR ONE.   Emery is Philly’s weakest link.  Say what you will. He is still Emery and that will come out as the season progresses.  Philly will have to score a lot of goals to match what the Rangers will do to Emery and that just will not happen!

Now for the defending champs Pittsburg.  They have let a few players go and traded a few as well.  This team is the definition of scoring threat as they have the 2nd and 3rd best players in hockey as of right now, with Malkin and Crosby.  It will be a battle of the division between Pitt and the Rangers.

Other then the Washington Caps there is no other team out there that can compare talent with the Rangers. From their  1st line to the 4th line.  Washington is the best team in the NHL and they have the best player in hockey.   This team has more experience from last year, they also added one of the best goalies in the NHL.

Atlanta will be the surprise of this season. They have added offense and defense and this team is ready to win. They have two very decent goalies that are battling for that starting position. Atlanta should make the playoffs this year but not a threat to the Rangers.

Carolina lost Eric Staal for the season. Need we say more. Without him , Carolina will not be any major threat.

Ottawa traded Heatley. They never replaced him and they can never replace him.  They are always a threat to any team. But they are not as much as a threat without Heatley.

Boston traded Kessel and by no means did Boston replace him, and they have not looked solid so far. Krecji has not played up to par yet and Boston just does not look the same as a year ago.  Boston will be 4th seed.

As for the rest of the conference , they will be battling for their own little 8th place spot. Posing no threat to NYR!
