Arsenal Transfer News: Jack Wilshere Transfer Reportedly Wanted by Sampdoria
Arsenal have reportedly informed Serie A outfit Sampdoria they can have midfielder Jack Wilshere for as little as £9 million this summer.
Sky Sports News' Kaveh Solhekol noted on Friday that the Italian team enquired about Wilshere's availability, and they could have his services for the seven-figure sum:

Wilshere spent last season on loan at Bournemouth and has one year remaining on his Arsenal contract, with manager Arsene Wenger seemingly no longer intent on seeing through his development in north London.
The 25-year-old made 29 Premier League appearances last season—27 of which were for the Cherries—and he recently spoke hopefully of the season to come, having potentially played his last minutes as an Arsenal representative:
That tally made the 2016-17 campaign Wilshere's most successful—or at least most heavily involved—season since 2013-14, having struggled with recurring injuries in recent years.
Simon Jones of MailOnline reported Wilshere has not travelled with Arsenal on their pre-season tour of Australia as he continues to recover from a hairline fracture of the fibula.
Wenger has seen the midfielder spend much of his Arsenal career sidelined, and this may be a sign the manager has finally lost patience with his charge.
It's also mentioned Wilshere is "likely to leave," despite showcasing some of his better assets during his loan spell on the south coast.
Wilshere impressed Cherries manager Eddie Howe while on loan at the Vitality Stadium, although the former Burnley boss conceded in May that his side may struggle to keep him for longer, per BBC Sport:
"I think it's going to be really difficult for us. We wish him well for the future. When we signed him on loan, and I have said this many times, the plan was for him to stay for a season and then to go back to Arsenal to evaluate his future."
The low valuation allegedly placed on Wilshere's head is in part due to the fact he's in the final 12 months of his contract, although it seems the Gunners are also motivated to move the playmaker on if true.
Compare his reported £9 million cost with that of Alexis Sanchez, another Arsenal player in the final year of his deal but who is reported to be worth £80 million, according to Steve Stammers and Simon Mullock of the Sunday Mirror.
Sampdoria finished 10th in Italy's top flight last season and are in need of midfield replacements after selling Bruno Fernandes to Sporting CP, while Serie A veteran Angelo Palombo recently retired.
West Ham United's Reece Oxford recently joined German side Borussia Monchengladbach, following RB Leipzig-based Scottish starlet Oliver Burke to the Bundesliga, and Wilshere could join the list of British summer exports to Europe if Sampdoria make good on their interest.
