Manchester City Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Dani Alves and Cengiz Under
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola believes Dani Alves will join his team despite fresh rumours linking him with a potential switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
According to French newspaper L'Equipe (h/t Stuart Brennan of the Manchester Evening News), PSG lead the race after further communications with the defender on Saturday, but City believe they will capture the veteran after Juventus agreed to release him.
Alves proved his detractors wrong as he helped Juve to the Serie A title and a place in the UEFA Champions League final with a plethora of fine performances.

James Ducker of the Telegraph also reaffirmed City's position on the potential transfer:
The 34-year-old played 12 times in the Champions League last season, scoring three and assisting four, according to WhoScored.com.
Juve general director Giuseppe Marotta declared to TuttoJuve (h/t Ciaran Kelly and Charlotte Duncker of the Manchester Evening News) the Italian champions had agreed to release Alves in June.
Marotta said: "Dani Alves has realised that he wants to experience an alternative experience, we will make a consensual resolution and wish him luck."

In other news, City transfer target Cengiz Under has admitted he desires a switch to England as he furthers his career and ambitions.
Turkish club Basaksehir confirmed on their official website (h/t Goal) their prodigy had attracted an offer from Guardiola. The 19-year-old appeared in 32 games in the Super Lig as his reputation exploded at home.
Speaking to Milliyet (h/t Goal), Under said: "Among the leagues I want to play in are La Liga, the Bundesliga and the Premier League, but I want to play in the Premier League the most."

The flair winger would fit Guardiola's tactics and system, and he would have time to develop from the bench behind the club's superstar attackers.
Alves' capture has become more urgent after PSG's inquiries, and City need an experienced full-back to help form their defence.
The Brazilian's ageing legs could be an issue later in the season, but Alves' overall fitness remains impressive despite his many years at the top of world football.
