Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Kasper Schmeichel, Krepin Diatta Rumours
Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel could be on his way to Manchester United if the Foxes complete the signing of KAA Gent stopper Lovre Kalinic.
Graham Hill of The Sun reported Leicester have bid £18 million for the giant Croatian but will have to raise their offer to trigger a move.
The arrival of a top 'keeper could open the door to Schmeichel's departure, with Old Trafford a possible destination, per Hill. Manchester City are also interested in the player if he comes on to the marketplace.

David De Gea's future remains unknown after renewed interest from Real Madrid, per the Daily Express, and Schmeichel recently hired Luca Bascherini to represent him as his new agent.

Hill wrote:
"Schmeichel is now high on boss Jose Mourinho's shortlist of potential replacements.
"But City like their former youth team keeper and there is also the intriguing possibility of Joe Hart being offered to Leicester in exchange.
"Schmeichel seemed settled with the Foxes when he committed his future but this latest dramatic switch [of agent] points to a change in the summer."
The goalkeeper was a major player as Leicester shocked world football when they captured the Premier League trophy in 2015-16.

The 30-year-old remained consistent last term, keeping eight clean sheets in 30 Premier League matches, according to Squawka.com. Schmeichel also posted an amazing 98 per cent average claim success as he dominated his area through the campaign.
In other news, the agent of Krepin Diatta has declared United are interested in his client after he impressed for his club.
According to Danish outlet VG Sporten (h/t James Cambridge of the Daily Express), the midfielder's representative, Youssoupha Fall, has fuelled rumours surrounding the 18-year-old wonderkid, who plays for Sarpsborg 08 in Norway.
Fall said:
"I've spoken to Manchester United's scouts twice.
"First during the U20 World Cup, and again after the [league] game against Brann.
"At the moment there is nothing concrete, but they like Krepin and are keeping close tabs on him.
"We have no rush, but if he leaves Sarpsborg, Diatta will move to a club that's playing in the Champions League."

The loss of De Gea would be a huge blow for United, and Mourinho would be forced to act quickly to secure a new stopper.
Schmeichel is ready for top-flight action after his career in England, and he is familiar with the culture at Old Trafford having watched his father, Peter, become a club legend.
However, it is debatable to say the goalkeeper is world class, and to follow in De Gea's footsteps would be a hard task for the Denmark international.
United fans will demand a big name as a replacement if their No. 1 jumps ship in the weeks ahead.
