Gianluigi Donnarumma Signs Contract Until 2021 with Milan Amid Transfer Rumours
AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has agreed to a new long-term contract with the club.
News that the youngster had signed fresh terms at the San Siro came via the club's Twitter account on Tuesday. The Guardian's Fabrizio Romano pictured the young stopper after the agreement had been announced:

The extension means Donnarumma is tied down at Milan until 2021 and temporarily ends the speculation that he will move in the near future.
Indeed, as reported by BBC Sport, Rossoneri chief executive Marco Fassone revealed in June that the 18-year-old had rejected an offer from Milan and was not going to extend his stay beyond 2018, the date his previous deal was set to run out.
However, the player's agent, Mino Raiola, later revealed Donnarumma was set for talks with Milan, and he has finally signed.
Romano suggested there are some clauses inserted into the new contract:
The Italy international is a special talent and is expected to grow into one of the finest goalkeepers in world football. But as we can see here, he's already a major asset to Milan:
Despite his tender years, Donnarumma is experienced, having made his debut as a 16-year-old, and he keeps goal with a tremendous amount of maturity.
The teenager is commanding in the way he controls his penalty area and makes smart decisions at the base of the team, and he's an outstanding shot-stopper. These figures from WhoScored.com add credence to the latter trait:
It's inevitable Donnarumma will improve, and, potentially, he'll be the bedrock upon which the club's renaissance is built.
After all, in the 2017 transfer window Milan have been active in their recruitment, landing the likes of Mateo Musacchio, Franck Kessie, Hakan Calhanoglu and Andre Silva. Yet, one senses the signing of Donnarumma's new deal will be the best piece of business conducted at the San Siro this summer.
