Kit manufacturer Adidas released an accompanying video detailing the design of the strip:
According to United's official website, the kit is available to purchase and will be worn by the team for the first time against L.A. Galaxy on July 15, the first match in their pre-season tour of the United States.
Bleacher Report's Nick Akerman and football writer Nathan Staples gave their takes on the kit:
The Old Trafford faithful also reacted to the launch, with their responses largely positive:
Some fans were less keen on the new design, however:

The Red Devils will be hoping their new kit can continue their tradition of strong shirt sales.
According to Metro's George Bellshaw, United sold more replica shirts in 2016 than any other club in the world, having shipped 2.85 million, well ahead of Real Madrid in second, who sold 2.29 million.
Last year's effort sold well above average even for United, who have typically sold 1.75 million shirts per season for the past five—once again putting them ahead of Real atop the pile, according to Alex Miller of Sportingintelligence.
Marquee signings such as Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan likely played a part in the kit's success at the tills, and United will likely be looking to boost sales of their latest version by bringing in more top names this summer.
