Chelsea Transfer News: Alex Sandro Negotiations Planned for Monday, Top Rumours
Chelsea and Juventus have reportedly planned a "fresh round" of talks regarding Alex Sandro for Monday, which should give the Blues a better idea of whether they will be able to land his signature this summer.
According to the Daily Telegraph's Matt Law, Chelsea are hoping the negotiations will see them make significant progress in their pursuit of the Brazilian.
The Blues have a financial advantage over the Bianconeri and can beat the Italian club's offer of a new contract worth £76,000 per week with a six-figure sum.

According to Law, Chelsea will also need to part with £60 million to prise him from Turin.
ESPN FC's Liam Twomey noted that the Blues' recent sales will fund the wing-back's purchase:
While Marcos Alonso had a superb campaign at Stamford Bridge last year, Sandro is tailor-made for manager Antonio Conte's system.
As such, his capture would not only make their starting XI even stronger, but it would also give them exceptional strength in depth on the left flank ahead of what is likely to be a long season competing on multiple fronts.
Squawka Football gave an insight into why Sandro is so highly rated:
Improving an already strong position may not be Chelsea's most pressing need, but if a player of Sandro's calibre is available, he should be considered a must-buy.
Chelsea's pursuit of AS Roma's Antonio Rudiger has potentially hit a snag, though, as Manchester City are prepared to outspend the Blues to land him, according to the Daily Mirror's Darren Lewis.

Lewis reported a £34 million deal had been agreed by Roma and Chelsea for the Germany international, but the Citizens could hijack it.
According to Goal's Nizaar Kinsella, the centre-back's versatility is of particular appeal to Chelsea:
German football expert Clark Whitney and Roma reporter John Solano are keen admirers of the 24-year-old:
"He's very good. He was Roma's best defender last season. Outperformed Manolas, who I consider borderline top-class.

Rudiger would be another top acquisition for Chelsea, provided they can get a deal over the line.
City's interest could complicate matters, though, potentially making him more costly than initially expected. If both clubs are prepared to pay, the player should have his choice of destination.
