Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Kylian Mbappe and Alexis Sanchez
Arsenal are reportedly ready to offer a whopping £125 million to Monaco for their star forward Kylian Mbappe.
According to Steve Stammers of the Sunday Mirror, manager Arsene Wenger is the driving force behind the potential move, with the veteran coach said to have been in talks with the player's father. Stammers suggested the Gunners will make their bid this week.
"Wenger has spoken to Mbappe's father Wilfried who has been a huge influence in his son's career," the report noted. "He told Mbappe senior that if his son went to the Bernabeu, there is a danger he will be starved of first-team football—while at Arsenal he will be a regular first choice."

Stammers added that Real Madrid and Manchester City are also keen on signing the 18-year-old sensation.
Mbappe took European football by storm last season with some dazzling performances for Monaco, helping the team to the Ligue 1 title and the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. The gunnerblog Twitter account suggested Arsenal need a signing of his pedigree:
Indeed, Mbappe is rated as the most exciting prospect in the game at the moment, as he left many a defender dazed with his displays last season.
The forward is incredibly dynamic, positions himself expertly and has shown excellent composure in terms of his finishing. If the Gunners were able to lure him to the Emirates Stadium, he'd be a tremendous coup.
Per Squawka Football, what was most impressive about the youngster last term was his ability to perform in the biggest games:
As things stand, it would still be a big surprise if Arsenal did get Mbappe this summer, especially given they will not play in the Champions League next season. Gunners supporters will be delighted to read that Wenger is ensuring they remain in conversation for the player, though.
Gunners to Block Alexis Sanchez Move

According to Rob Draper of the Mail on Sunday, Arsenal will not allow Alexis Sanchez to leave the club for Manchester City this summer.
Draper's report noted that the Chilean forward is keen to link up with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium, having previously worked with him at Barcelona. However, the Gunners are said to be adamant they will not allow Sanchez to join a potential title rival.
"Now they have the financial strength to refuse any bid, they will tell Sanchez to join a foreign club, with Paris Saint-Germain favourites, or see out the final year of his deal, when he can leave on a free," continued Draper.

As noted in the piece, Sanchez has just one year remaining on his current contract at the Emirates, meaning speculation is rife about a possible exit.
While the Gunners have been linked with some exciting attackers this summer, Sanchez would be so tough to replace, as these figures illustrate:
Not only is he a regular contributor in terms of goals and assists, the forward sets the tone for the rest of the team. Sanchez is a hard worker, is willing to do a job in different positions and is explosive in everything he does.
Replacing him would be a huge challenge for Arsenal, and it would be a bitter blow if supporters had to watch him ply his trade for a rival. Having sold Robin van Persie to Manchester United in 2012 and then watched the Dutchman fire the Red Devils to the Premier League title, it would be understandable if the Gunners dug their heels in here.
