Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Alberto Moreno and Sergio Rico
AS Roma have reportedly emerged as suitors for Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno, telling the Reds to name their price for the Spaniard. Elsewhere, Sevilla's Sergio Rico is being linked with a move to Anfield.
According to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport (via TalkSport), Roma director Monchi informed the Reds of his interest in Moreno during negotiations for Mohamed Salah.
The former Sevilla director hasn't wasted any time restructuring the team and will need bodies in defence if Antonio Rudiger's proposed move to Chelsea goes through, per Sky Sport Italia's Fabrizio Romano:

Moreno barely featured last season after manager Jurgen Klopp installed James Milner as his first-cchoice left-back, but despite his limited role at Anfield, there appears to be a real market for the 24-year-old.
As shared by Paddy Power, Napoli previously had an offer for the Spaniard turned down―something fans of the club didn't understand at the time:
It now seems the Reds were right to hold out for a bigger fee, however, although one has to assume Roma won't have to pay much more than the rumoured £11 million offer from Napoli.
Moreno flashed plenty of talent when he moved to England in 2014, especially as an attacking threat. Perhaps all he needs to unlock his full potential is a change of scenery, and he's certainly in need of regular minutes.
Meanwhile, Cadena COPE (h/t the Daily Mirror's Football Spy) report several clubs have contacted Sevilla for the services of goalkeeper Rico. The 23-year-old has a release clause of £26 million, and the Spaniards are said to be seeking a fee in that neighbourhood.

Rico is a product of Sevilla's academy and a full Spain international, although he hasn't played many minutes for La Roja (16 in his debut). He reclaimed his spot at club level last season, having been previously benched in the UEFA Europa League in favour of David Soria.
He's a solid goalkeeper, but the Reds are in need of a clear upgrade, and spending £26 million on Rico may not fit the bill, per Sport Witness: "Liverpool haven't got the highest quality goalkeeper solution, but it's arguable that Rico wouldn't change that too much. He's a good goalkeeper but he's not so obviously out ahead of what the club already have in Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius."
Rico does have age on his side, and his issues with consistency could disappear as he becomes older and more experienced.
