Fabinho Contact Reportedly Made by PSG Amid Manchester United Transfer Rumours
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made a move to sign Monaco star Fabinho, who is also said to be attracting interest from Manchester United.
According to RMC Sport (h/t Metro), PSG's sporting director Antero Henrique has opened negotiations with Monaco about a potential deal.
It's suggested in the report the Red Devils are also keen on the Brazilian, although neither suitor has been able to agree a fee for the 23-year-old yet.

Monaco will want to keep as much of their squad together as possible, as the team enjoyed a remarkable 2016-17 season. Leonardo Jardim's side played spellbinding attacking football on their way to the Ligue 1 title and the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

The goalscoring of Radamel Falcao and Kylian Mbappe was lauded throughout the campaign, while the creative edge of Bernardo Silva earned him a big-money move to Manchester City. Fabinho was arguably Monaco's most important cog last term, though.
Utilised at the heart of midfield alongside the combative Tiemoue Bakayoko, Fabinho knitted everything together neatly for Jardim's team. Per Squawka Football, he's a versatile footballer:
In the past Fabinho has been utilised as a right-back, although he's been shifted into the core of the team to great effect. The Brazilian has channelled the qualities needed to play full-back—energy, anticipation and decision-making—into his midfield play, making him an outstanding box-to-box option.
As well as offering massive presence in the middle of the pitch, Fabinho has also shown he can add something further up the field. From the penalty spot he is deadly, and he chipped in with nine goals in the French top flight.

His all-action style seems to be a perfect fit for English football. Football journalist Greg Johnson believes Fabinho would be an ideal addition for Jose Mourinho's team:
It's a deal that looks unlikely to come off for United, though. Not only are they likely to face stiff competition from PSG, according to Jamie Jackson of the Guardian, the Red Devils are closing in on a £40 million transfer for Chelsea's midfielder Nemanja Matic.
Monaco would surely be unwilling to sell to divisional rivals PSG and would dig their heels in to resist any approach from the Premier League. Fabinho may not be the most glamorous player in French champions' squad, but he'd be a difficult man to replace.
