Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Enquiry Reportedly Made by Liverpool Amid Contract Talk
Liverpool have reportedly made a "direct enquiry" into the availability of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer, and while they were knocked back by Arsenal, the Gunners' talks with the midfielder over a new deal have stalled.
Per David Maddock and John Cross of the Mirror, that could lead to Oxlade-Chamberlain being sold this summer and leaves the door open for a potential move to Anfield.
The 23-year-old, who is valued at £25 million in the report, is entering the final year of his deal, but progress has been slow in the negotiations over a new contract that have taken place thus far.

As a result, there is said to be a "growing feeling" he will leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The England international, capped 27 times by the Three Lions, found form and fitness last season and enjoyed a productive campaign as a result. He made 45 appearances in all competitions, and he contributed six goals and 11 assists.
One of Oxlade-Chamberlain's best qualities is his versatility, as his blend of work rate, physicality and technical ability allow him to play a multitude of roles.
Last season, he played on both flanks—including at wing-back—in central midfield, as a holding player and as a No. 10.
The Sunday Times' Jonathan Northcroft believes he would be a good fit at Anfield and discussed the kind of role he would be most suited to:
He has the attributes to shine under Reds manager Jurgen Klopp, and he would suit the pressing game the German employs at Liverpool.
As he does at Arsenal, he would be able to provide cover in a variety of positions, which would be useful should injuries or fixtures pile up.
The Gunners will naturally hope to keep him after he proved once again last year that he can be a valuable asset, but the Reds could take advantage of the uncertainty over his future and conduct some smart business by recruiting him.
