Manchester United Transfer News: Latest on Harry Kane, Top Red Devils Rumours
Tottenham Hotspur believe the idea of selling Harry Kane to Manchester United for £100 million is a "laughable notion" as they value him at almost double that.
According to Ed Malyon for The Independent, Spurs will not even consider the possibility of letting Kane go as he is their "most-prized asset," but if they were to sell him, then "any deal for Kane would not only need to be a world-record fee, but closer to £200 million than £100 million."
Malyon added United manager Jose Mourinho is a long-time admirer of the 23-year-old, but the club accept he will be difficult to land for the time being, though they hope Kane could be willing to move if Spurs fail to maintain their status as title contenders and UEFA Champions League regulars.

Per Squawka Football, Kane has been the most prolific striker in the Premier League over the last three seasons:
Indeed, despite two spells out with injury limiting him to 38 appearances in all competitions, the striker notched a magnificent 35 goals and seven assists last year, and he has been consistently prolific since bursting on to the scene at White Hart Lane as a youngster.
Football.London's Ben Harris noted the way he has continued to defy his critics:
"Harry Kane. 1,2,3 season wonder. Only scores pens. Tap in merchant. Can't do it for Eng. and now...'No trophies'. Will you ever learn? #COYS

Kane has proved himself to be among the deadliest hitmen in Europe, and he's the calibre of player who would be perfect for United.
Even with Zlatan Ibrahimovic last term, the Red Devils have lacked a cutting edge for some time, which has contributed to their failure to challenge for the Premier League title.
In the past, United would have had relatively little trouble in securing one of Spurs' top stars—as they did with the likes of Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov—but Tottenham's transformation into a side capable of competing with England's elite, thanks in part to Kane's form, will make it difficult to land him.
What's more, in a market where a player such as Kylian Mbappe could be worth nine figures on the back of one—admittedly fantastic—season, Kane's value has rocketed after each passing year of scoring close to or more than 30 goals in all competitions.
United's biggest hope of getting him is if Spurs fade away from the top four. But if the north London club keep Kane, their other stars and manager Mauricio Pochettino, that doesn't look likely to happen any time soon.

Meanwhile, Besiktas official Umut Guner has poured cold water on the idea that Anderson Talisca, who is on loan at the Turkish club from Benfica, will be joining United this summer.
Turkish-Football quoted him as saying:
"There is no deal with Manchester United or anyone else in place. We agreed to a two-year deal with Benfica. The loan did [have] a clause that he had to activate the option, which we did.
“Talisca will stay at Besiktas on loan for another season. Reports claiming that he can be signed for his £22 million release clause are false, he has a deal with us. If a club wants to sign him now they will have to wait another 12 months.”
Sport Witness had already cast doubt on such reports:
The Brazilian playmaker had a strong season in Turkey, racking up 17 goals and six assists in all competitions.
He's a real threat from distance, per Squawka Football:
United fans shouldn't be too discouraged by the news, however. While goals and creativity need to be on the agenda this summer, the 23-year-old is yet to show he would be capable of making the step up required to thrive at Old Trafford despite his good season.
Should he build on his campaign with an even better one next year, then he could be worth considering.
