Manchester United Transfer News: Federico Bernardeschi, Ivan Perisic Rumours
Manchester United are considering a move for Federico Bernardeschi of Fiorentina as they weigh up alternative targets to Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic.
According to Football Italia (h/t Metro), the Red Devils are reviewing the market after Inter quoted a huge price of £48 million for the Croatia international. Bernardeschi had a breakout campaign last term, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists.
The player was recently the hero for Italy under-21 side as they beat Germany to progress at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, per Squawka Football:

According to Neil Fissler of the Daily Express, United are set to hold further talks with Inter after the Italian giants rejected a £35 million offer for Perisic. The San Siro club must soon raise £30 million in order "to avoid breaching financial fair play rules."
Here is Perisic in action:
The 28-year-old impressed last season, but his valuation appears inflated for a player of his age.
Perisic played 36 times in Serie A in 2016/17, scoring 11 goals and assisting eight times, according to WhoScored.com.
United struggled to score goals in the Premier League last year, and despite their excellent record in cup competitions, the team wasted far too many chances to mount a title challenge.
Bernardeschi is proving himself to be one of his country's most exciting forwards, and he has the flair to play at Old Trafford and succeed.

At 23, the Italian is ready to step up to a more challenging environment, but it would likely take him longer to adapt compared to the experienced Perisic.
United manager Jose Mourinho will not want to spend time developing a young talent when he could instead find an older head who is ready to win trophies.
