Manchester City Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Paulo Dybala and Dani Alves
Dani Alves has reportedly attempted to convince Paulo Dybala to join him at Manchester City next season after Juventus terminated the right-back's contract.
According to Corriere dello Sport (h/t Metro), the Brazilian has upset the Juve board with the assertion their top striker needs to leave Turin in order to improve.
The defender was quoted in an interview with Canais Esporte Interativo (h/t Metro).

"Dybala will do great things in the future," said Alves. "But I think that for him to realise his full potential, to test himself, one day, I don't know when, he'll have to leave Juventus."
The Argentina international recently signed a new deal that ties him to the Old Lady until 2022, per Metro.
Here is the attacker in action in Serie A:
According to TuttoJuve (h/t Ciaran Kelly and Charlotte Duncker of the Manchester Evening News), Juve general director Giuseppe Marotta confirmed Alves will be allowed to leave the Italian champions.
"Dani Alves has realised that he wants to experience an alternative experience," said Marotta. "We will make a consensual resolution and wish him luck."
Alves is yet to sign for City, but he told Brazilian TV show Conversa Com Bia (h/t Sport) he would welcome working with former manager Pep Guardiola once again after playing for the coach at Barcelona.
"Everyone knows about my admiration for Pep Guardiola," Alves said. "If that happens (playing for City), it would be a huge pleasure for me."

The 34-year-old was in electric form last season as he won Serie A, playing 19 times in the Italian league, according to WhoScored.com. Alves also started 11 games in the UEFA Champions League as Juve made it to the final.
City need experienced additions to their defence, and Alves proved he has plenty left in the tank during a successful spell in Turin.
However, the Premier League is a punishing division, and Alves is an elder statesman entering a very physical environment.
Stylistically, the player suits what Guardiola needs and would provide width and pace.
After a year in the technical environment of Italian football, it might take Alves additional time to acclimatise to England's bluster.
