PSG Transfer News: Latest Gareth Bale, Sergio Aguero, Kylian Mbappe Rumours
Paris Saint-Germain reportedly have ambitious plans for the summer if their bid for AS Monaco star Kylian Mbappe fails, with Real Madrid's Gareth Bale and Manchester City's Sergio Aguero regarded as potential targets.
According to Le Parisien (h/t Pedro Iranzo of Madrid-based paper AS), the Ligue 1 giants have already accepted Mbappe will not move to the capital. Per L'Equipe (via Iranzo), the 18-year-old has been informed that Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo or Karim Benzema will leave Madrid, opening up a spot for him in the process.

With Ronaldo preferring to stay after president Florentino Perez's open support and Benzema a favourite of manager Zinedine Zidane, Bale seems the most likely candidate to depart. And while a return to the Premier League seems more likely than a move to France, PSG have the capital to convince the Welshman to alter his plans.
If that fails, PSG have a back-up plan in the form of Aguero, per Le Parisien (via ESPN FC's Jonathan Johnson):
Les Parisiens have targeted plenty of Argentinian players in the last few years and have Javier Pastore, Angel Di Maria and Giovani Lo Celso on their books. Ezequiel Lavezzi left the club in 2016.
Aguero has long been a vital contributor for the Citizens, but with Gabriel Jesus emerging as a top forward, his future appears unclear.
The Brazilian, 20, is a better fit for manager Pep Guardiola's brand of football, and the former Bayern Munich boss gave Jesus every opportunity to play last season.

It's worth noting Aguero, 29, has stated he wants to return to former club Independiente in the near future, telling radio station Independiente en la Uno (h/t TalkSport) he will do so in 2018:
"It's clear that I'm going to return to Independiente and retire there. My family know that... I'm going to go there when my contract with Manchester City finishes in 2018.
"Here (at City) they know what I want to do, they know I want to return to Argentina.
"I'm giving you my word that I want to return to Avellaneda when I leave England.
"I dream of playing alongside my brothers."
PSG don't have a need for another star striker―Edinson Cavani was among Europe's best scorers last season―but a star winger like Bale would be a great addition.
Convincing the former Tottenham Hotspur man to join won't be an easy task, however, particularly if the Premier League's top dogs get involved.
Les Parisiens failed to win the Ligue 1 title last season and have routinely disappointed in Europe, whereas Bale has become used to winning in Madrid.
