Manchester City: Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Alexis Sanchez, Claudio Bravo
Manchester City are reportedly increasingly confident they will be able to sign Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez in a deal worth £50 million.
According to The Mirror's David McDonnell, the Sky Blues will make an official approach for the Chilean after the summer's 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, and they can offer him a contract worth £300,000-a-week, putting them in "pole position" ahead of Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
Sanchez, 28, has only a year left remaining on his current Gunners deal, and the north London outfit have not been able to tie him to new terms.

The fact they have not qualified for next season's UEFA Champions League and continue to fall short in the title race means it is unlikely Sanchez will commit to a new deal at the Emirates Stadium.
City, however, will be in Europe's top-tier competition next season and have the personnel and financial clout to make a run at the Premier League title in 2017-18.
Furthermore, McDonnell said Sanchez is eager to reunite with City manager Pep Guardiola, who bought him from Udinese when he was in charge of Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Sky Blues goalkeeper Claudio Bravo will reportedly remain at the club to fight for the No. 1 spot with new signing Ederson next season.
Per Mark Ogden of ESPN, Chile international Bravo, 34, told Guardiola before he departed for the Confederations Cup that he wanted to stay at the Etihad Stadium next term and challenge Ederson for a starting spot.
City confirmed the signing of Brazilian Ederson for £35 million earlier this month, and it seems clear he will be the No. 1 stopper.
Bravo was replaced as first-choice goalkeeper by the now-departed Willy Caballero midway through last season. The Chilean endured a poor spell of form in his debut Premier League season and didn't reach expectations following his move to City from Barcelona last summer:
After the signing of Ederson, there was initial "uncertainty" about Bravo's City future, per James Robson in the Manchester Evening News, but it now seems clear he will still be a City player next term.
