Maria Kanellis Returns to WWE at Money in the Bank with Husband Mike Bennett

Maria Kanellis returned to WWE Sunday night at Money in the Bank, and she was joined by husband Mike Bennett.

WWE showed the happy couple after they made their entrance inside St. Louis' Scottrade Center:

Kanellis became a fixture at Ring of Honor beginning in 2011 after she aligned herself with Bennett, whom she was dating at the time. They took their act to Impact Wrestling beginning in January 2016:

After they left Impact Wrestling earlier in the year, many fans wondered if Kanellis and Bennett would show up in WWE, following others who have moved from Impact Wrestling to WWE in recent years.

Plenty of wrestlers have gone on to more success outside of WWE than they enjoyed inside it, and Kanellis is among that group. She firmly established herself as an effective heel following her departure after a somewhat forgettable stint with the company.

While she wrestled full-time for WWE during her first run with the company, Kanellis worked a more limited schedule with Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling. Especially assuming they're members of the SmackDown Live roster, Kanellis and Bennett could essentially fill the void left by The Miz and Maryse.

Maryse seamlessly transitioned back into a full-time role with WWE after her time away, and Kanellis should be no different. Her past experience will also be a boost to Bennett as he looks to make an impression in front of WWE fans.
