Governor Chris Dudley!?

Yes, Chris Dudley is thinking of running for Governor. I'll just cut to it:

But he is seriously looking at running for governor, to the point that I'm told that he is inclined to get into the race.  He's reportedly long been interested in public service. He's a Yale graduate and his grandfather once served as the ambassador to Finland.

Awesome? The article goes on to say that Dudley would bring "a lot of celebrity wattage" to the Republican primary field, so you better go get some shades. I enjoyed this section as well:

SIDE NOTE: Some sports fans took exception to my referring to Dudley as a "former Blazers star" in Sunday's post.  I'm told that you shouldn't call someone a "star" unless they are one of the team's best players, which Dudley never was.  I guess I should bow to the true sports fans, not being one myself.  But it makes me roll my eyes.

Being condescending is so hot right now. The first one to force a joke about free throw shooting wins an imaginary prize to be named later.

P.S. "Governor" is really hard for me to spell. Probably 'cause I'm a sports fan. Jeff Mapes is so rolling his eyes right now.
