Bengals Owner Mike Brown Discusses Adam 'Pacman' Jones' Arrest
Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown said Wednesday he continues to stand behind embattled cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones following his January arrest.
Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer noted Brown understands he's leaving himself open to criticism with his stance on Jones.
"Maybe I am overly tolerant," he said. "If so, so be it."

Brown added he'll give Jones a second chance, even though he doesn't condone the defender's actions: "This is someone's life," he said, per Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official website.
Jones was arrested for disorderly conduct on Jan. 3, according to the Chicago Tribune. The report noted police said the NFL player is accused of pushing a security guard, being combative with police during the arrest, including head-butting an officer, and spitting on a jailhouse nurse during booking.
A video of the arrest that included explicit language and Jones saying "I hope you die tomorrow" to one officer was later made public.
Emily Wood of WLWT passed along a statement from Jones' attorneys, Timothy E. Schneider and Alex Triantafilou, after the video was released:
"Adam Jones is deeply embarrassed and remorseful for his conduct and language after being arrested in early January. Mr. Jones has the utmost respect for law-enforcement and the difficulties police encounter on a daily basis.
As it relates to the allegations, and upon advice of counsel, Mr. Jones will not be commenting upon legal proceedings at this time. Mr. Jones is committed to the process of counseling and anger management, in order to ensure that such situations never occur in the future.
Adam loves Cincinnati and considers it home. He sincerely apologizes to the officers, the Cincinnati Bengals organization and all the fans in Cincinnati.
"
The Chicago Tribune report confirmed Jones was charged with one felony (harassment with a bodily substance) and three misdemeanors (assault, disorderly conduct and obstructing official business) as a result of the incident. The felony charge was later dropped by prosecutors.
Jones is under contract with the Bengals for two more years with a cap hit of $7.67 million for the 2017 season, per Spotrac. With Brown's continued support, the 33-year-old Atlanta native is slated to enter next season as one of the team's starting corners.
