The impressive defensive line work by the Florida Gators contributed mightily to the defending national champions remaining as the top team in this week's poll.

Florida's defense held LSU to 63 yards rushing and kept the Tiger passing game in check all night as well.

One may say Florida snuffed out LSU as a pretender to the BCS Trophy.

The Tigers have the athletes and the desire, but do not yet possess the sufficient offensive sophistication to supplant the Gators as rulers of the SEC.

At this time, Florida is clearly the best team, with the best players, and the best coaching in the entire country.

The Gators remain in the top spot for yet another week in the 11 Best 11s.
