Trea Turner Leaves Game vs. Phillies with Apparent Leg Injury
Washington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner exited the team's game Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies after suffering an apparent leg injury.
Per ESPN.com, Turner was taken out of the contest in the first inning after advancing to third on a flyout when he appeared to favor his leg.
The Nationals put in Wilmer Difo to take Turner's spot as the leadoff hitter and at shortstop.

Nationals manager Dusty Baker said he doesn't think Turner pulled his hamstring badly, but expects him to be out for multiple days, per Mark Zuckerman of MASN.
Turner made an immediate impact in the nation's capital after getting called up to the major league roster on a full-time basis last July. In 73 games, he had a .342/.370/.567 slash line to go with 13 home runs and 40 RBI.
Despite not even playing half a season in MLB, Turner finished second in the National League Rookie of the Year voting.
While expecting the 23-year-old to maintain the pace he set in 2016 is unrealistic, the Nationals are expecting big things from him in 2017 to help get over the hump in the postseason.
Losing Turner temporarily shouldn't be a huge setback to a lineup that includes Bryce Harper, Adam Eaton, Daniel Murphy and Anthony Rendon. Should the young infielder miss an extended period, though, it will put Washington's depth to the test.
