Right as Thursday's NCAA tournament action commenced, the Indiana Hoosiers announced the firing of men's basketball head coach Tom Crean.

Crean led the Hoosiers to three Sweet 16 appearances in nine seasons, but they missed this year's tournament after finishing 18-16.
