Seth Rollins vs. Triple H Is Matchup WWE WrestleMania 33 Desperately Needs
When Seth Rollins returned to the WWE on Monday’s episode of Raw, wrestling fans couldn’t help but be excited about the matchup between Seth Rollins and Triple H inevitably being added to a lackluster WrestleMania 33 card.
Thus far, the build to WrestleMania in Orlando has been disappointing, but the storyline between Rollins and Triple H has been one of the only well-built feuds in the company over the last year. With Rollins temporarily on the shelf due to a knee injury and his match against Triple H in question, the WWE’s biggest show of the year felt like it was missing something.

Now that it’s clear Rollins vs. Triple H will take place in some form or fashion at WrestleMania, the show instantly has more credibility. The problem has been the lack of depth and intrigue surrounding the April 2 pay-per-view.
As of Monday night, the top matches announced for WrestleMania were Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton, Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens, Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks, and The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns. For many hardcore wrestling fans, that just isn’t enough to meet the expectations for the biggest event of the wrestling year.
The spectacle surrounding the WrestleMania event will be there regardless of the card, but the matches scheduled thus far in 2017 are not on the same level as previous years. Thankfully, Triple H vs. Rollins is clearly back on and will be one of the highlights of the night.
Not only is Triple H one of the most decorated wrestlers in WWE history, but he is also a veteran of WrestleMania and knows what it takes to shine despite the pressure. Add in Rollins looking to make up for missing last year’s WrestleMania, and there is little doubt that both men have the potential to steal the show.
For those going to Orlando to see the show live or for those watching on television, adding Triple H vs. Rollins—regardless of the stipulation—will instantly make WrestleMania feel more important and ensure the overall card is worthy of the grandest stage in wrestling.
