It is halftime in the Auburn V Arkansas game. It looks like 2008 again. Auburn has showed up lethargic and ill prepared to play. They have made one of the worst defenses in College football look like Alabama or Florida. The coaching staff has done a horrible job of getting this Auburn team prepared for this game.

Auburn has committed penalty after penalty and mistake after mistake this half. Auburn has played Arkansas worse this half than any other Arkansas opponent this year. Teams like Missouri State and Texas A&M as well as Georgia and Alabama have performed several levels above Auburn to this point.

Auburn has smelled up the field in every facet of the game. Offense has looked lost and the offensive line could do as good a job of protection on the bench. Chris Todd looks like a bad high school quarterback to this point in the game. It is a poor a half of football as I have ever witnessed.

Offensive play calling has looked inept and the offense out of sync. The only play that has consistently produced yards is running between the tackles and even that has been limited due to poor, poor, poor offensive line play.

Auburn's defense has played without emotion and has not got after Arkansas. The pass rush has been non existent and the pressure has been slow in forming and ineffective.  Special teams has turned the ball over deep in Auburn territory for a resulting Arkansas score already.

The problem with this game is not a physical difference. It is a lack of emotion and fire. Auburn came in flat, asleep, without fire and did not want to win the game. I really do not care that Auburn is 24 points down at half time. I am deeply ashamed for the Auburn team to have played this way. They have thoroughly disgraced themselves and the school the first half of this game.

How they come out and play in the second half will give us all an idea of things to come. Will the coaching staff bring them out to play and perform the second half or will they just give up like a Missouri State or Texas A&M. The second half will tell us more about the personality of this Auburn team in years to come. In the past it was Auburn's personality to give up in this situation. Now we will fin out if anything has changed.
