Diagnoses: Delonte West watched Desperado one too many times

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West was arrested on weapons charges September 17 in Maryland’s Prince George County. He had two hand guns in his pocket and a shot-gun in a guitar case strapped to his back.

According to West, he’s battled a “mood disorder” since childhood and his felonious actions occurred due to this disorder, but his actions closely resemble those of the character Antonio Banderas played in the 1995 action-thriller ‘Desperado.’

Is Delonte West bipolar, or does he have aspirations of being a gun wheeling, guitar case carrying outlaw? Sure, I shouldn’t poke fun at him because of his ‘alleged’ condition, but this can’t be a coincidence.

West claims he’s had this problem since childhood. So I figure ‘Desperado’ was released in 1995, when West would have been around 12 years old. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

I’m no doctor, but I think they got this diagnoses wrong. Has anyone checked Delonte’s DVD collection. I suggest all of his ‘Desperado’ memorabilia, the movie, posters (except those of Salma Hayek) and even the sequel ‘Once Upon a Time in Mexico’ be destroyed immediately. Let’s help this man get his life back in order.
