Bayley handed Charlotte Flair her first loss in a title match on pay-per-view Sunday at WWE Fastlane to retain the Raw Women's Championship.

As was the case in Bayley's title win, Sasha Banks played a pivotal role in the result. She distracted Charlotte on the outside, which allowed Bayley to hit a Bayley-to-Belly Suplex.

Charlotte recovered, though, and attempted to steal a quick pinfall on the champion. Banks intervened again, alerting the referee to the fact Charlotte had a handful of Bayley's tights.

Shortly after the referee broke up the pin, Bayley delivered another Bayley-to-Belly Suplex to put her rival away, courtesy of WWE Universe:

NXT star Peyton Royce congratulated the champion:

Uproxx's Brandon Stroud was confused as to how Banks and Bayley are the triumphant babyfaces given how they colluded to beat Charlotte:

WhatCulture's Adam Pacitti thought ending the streak was the right call, though:

After falling short in her attempt to win the Women's Championship from Charlotte at Royal Rumble, Bayley earned another opportunity on Raw by pinning The Queen in a tag team match.

Bayley and Charlotte main-evented Raw in a match that seemed destined to go in Charlotte's favor due to interference by Dana Brooke.

Banks appeared to even the odds, however, as she took out Brooke with a crutch and then hit Charlotte with the crutch as well.

Bayley took advantage by executing the Bayley-to-Belly on Charlotte and pinning her to become Raw women's champion for the first time.

Charlotte called for Bayley to relinquish the title due to Banks' involvement, and Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon urged her to do the same, according to WWE Universe:

Bayley seemed conflicted, but she made it clear that winning the Raw Women's Championship has always been her biggest goal in life:

While Bayley struggled to come to a decision, Banks hit the ring and convinced her to keep the title, which is precisely what she did.

That led to Charlotte invoking her rematch clause for Fastlane in an attempt to become a five-time women's champ.

Charlotte dropped the title to Banks during their feud on a couple of occasions on Raw, but she managed to get it back each time they clashed on pay-per-view.

That gave her a mental edge entering Fastlane, as did the fact that she has more big-match experience on the main roster than Bayley.

Even so, Bayley is no stranger to getting the job done on huge stages, such as her NXT Women's Championship win over Banks at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.

Sunday's match had a ton riding on it, including the chance to enter WrestleMania 33 as the women's titleholder.

Bayley will do precisely that, and she ended one of WWE's most impressive streaks in recent memory in the process.
