If RVD Returns To WWE, Will He Be Pushed To The Top?

Lately the internet has been buzzing with rumors about rob van dam considering a return to the ring.  He has options in both WWE and TNA if he decided to return.

If RVD goes to TNA he will undoubtably recieve the star treatment similar to kurt angle, if he goes to WWE he may end up in the same position he was in before he left, nowhere.

The WWE has never used RVD the way he should be used, which is in big mathes with big superstars.  Rob has great in ring skills and has arguably the best array of moves for any wrestler, albeit he used them all in almost every match.  He did hold the WWE title for a bit but it was mostly to bring ECW's status up right away, but it was still cool to see.

Rob could easily fall through the cracks of the WWE if he came back because the WWE is overrun with babyfaces and most people wouldnt accept him as a heel. If RVD returned to ECW he would have the championship within a few months guaranteed, but if he went to smackdown or Raw he may not ever see another world title, which just plain sucks.

The guy is uber-talented and has an amazing fan base around the world.  When he made his surprise royal rumble appearance the crowd cheered louder than for anyone else the whole night, including jeff hardy.

If RVD was pushed to the main event level then we could see some new feuds like RVD/Orton which has happened but it was along time ago over the IC title, or even a jericho RVD feud which would be spectacular.  the possibilities are there and the need for a fresh main eventer has never been stronger.

with the recent eleavtion of CM punk to world title status we havent really seen anyone else come up to the main event scene in awhile.  Its pretty much been cena, HHH, undertaker, batista, orton, jericho and edge forever.  throwing RVD in the mix would excite viewers everywhere.

If RVD goes to TNA he would have his run of the place.  a feud between AJ styles and RVD would elevate TNA to a new level and if he joined the MEM he would surprise fans all over the world.  RVD has never been a great heel except for his early ECW days, people like him too much.

So, if RVD returns, where should he go?
