Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Carlos Bacca and Diego Laxalt
Sergio Barila, agent of AC Milan's Carlos Bacca, has insisted the striker is happy at the San Siro amid links with Arsenal and West Ham United.
According to MailOnline's Jonathan Spencer, he told MilanNews.it: "Bacca is very happy at Milan.Ā In addition, both the coach [Vincenzo Montella] and the club are happy with him."
Per Spencer, Bacca is a reported target for the Gunners. Indeed, according toĀ CalciomercatoĀ (h/tĀ Dipesh AgarwalĀ of Sport Witness), Arsenal were in the "front row" to snap him up.
The forward has bagged 26 goals in 56 appearances for the Rossoneri and showed his ruthless streak last season, per WhoScored.com:
Bleacher Report UK's Adam Digby revealed what makes the Colombian so effective:
The 30-year-old may not be the world-class centre-forward Arsenal fans crave and the team has needed for so long, but he's a clinical striker who can offer a real cutting edge.
With the chances on offer at the Emirates Stadium, he could really thrive.
However, with Alexis Sanchez having taken it upon himself to playĀ the role of Arsenal's world-class forwardāand with two strong back-ups in Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perezāthe Gunners may not need Bacca desperately after all.

Meanwhile, according to Tuttomercatoweb.com's Marco Conterio (h/t Metro's Mark Brus), Arsenal could be set to join Chelsea in the race to sign Genoa star Diego Laxalt.
The dynamic 23-year-old can operate up and down the left flank, with Gianluca Di Marzio's David Amoyal impressed with him at wing-back:
Here's a look at his stats this season, courtesy of Squawka:
| Apps | 15 |
| Goals | 1 |
| Assists | 2 |
| Chances Created | 21 |
| Take-Ons | 24 |
| Tackles | 22 |
| Interceptions | 19 |
| Clearances | 37 |
| Pass Completion | 79% |
The Uruguay international would perhaps be a more natural fit in Chelsea's 3-4-3 formation, but he could make for a long-term replacement for 30-year-old Nacho Monreal at left-back or play in a more advanced role out wide in Arsenal's attacking midfield trio.
One thing is clearāif Laxalt continues to put in strong performances for Genoa, he's unlikely to remain there much longer.
