
Alvin Bailey Suspended: Latest Details and Reaction on Browns Guard
Cleveland Browns guard Alvin Bailey has been suspended two games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, NFL spokesperson Alvin Bailey announced Thursday, per the Browns.
Bailey, 25, was arrested for a DUI earlier this year and pleaded no contest, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, leading to the suspension.
As part of his plea agreement in November, prosecutors agreed to drop charges of possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia and failure to comply with a police officer's order, according to
Bailey has made five starts for the Browns this season. The team signed him in March after he spent his first three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He made a total of eight starts with the Seahawks, including Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos.
He will be eligible to return in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
