Charges Against Kansas' Carlton Bragg Dismissed, Indefinite Suspension Lifted
University of Kansas forward Carlton Bragg Jr. was arrested by Lawrence police Dec. 8 and charged with misdemeanor battery on Dec. 9.
However, charges were dismissed on Wednesday, per Matt Galloway of the Topeka Capital-Journal, who cited a news release from the Douglas County District Attorney. A one-count charge of battery has been given to the alleged victim, per Galloway.
The DA surveillance video showed the female "shoving & slapping the male in the chest numerous times and placing her hands near the neck," according to Jesse Newell of the Kansas City Star.

Kansas lifted the suspension of Bragg, per Brian Hamilton of Sports Illustrated. "This has been a difficult and humiliating experience for me," said Bragg.
Bragg was alleged to have "struck his girlfriend and pushed her down [the] stairs during an argument," per Newell and Gary Bedore of the Kansas City Star.
Bragg has become more involved during his second season at Kansas. The sophomore has put up 7.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 16 minutes per contest for the 8-1 Jayhawks. He averaged just 8.9 minutes across 38 appearances for the squad as a freshman.
The Ohio native's playing time ranks seventh on the team, and his point production is sixth. He was also named to the Karl Malone Award watch list in October. The award is given each year to the top collegiate power forward.
