Giants' Nikita Whitlock Says Burglars Left Swastika, KKK & More Racist Graffiti
New York Giants fullback Nikita Whitlock said Wednesday that burglars vandalized his home with racist graffiti during a break-in that occurred Tuesday night.
Whitlock told WCBS-TV in New York (h/t ESPN.com) that a swastika, "KKK" and "Go back to Africa" were written inside his home.
CBS New York provided a video showing the phrases scribbled on Whitlock's walls:
The 25-year-old out of Wake Forest, who was not home at the time of the burglary, said the following: "It just re-establishes that no matter where you are, no matter who you are, this can happen to you. ... It's about to be 2017. Oppression, violence, racism, hatred, violence, there's no need for that."
Tuesday didn't mark the first break-in at Whitlock's Bergen County, New Jersey, home, as another burglary reportedly occurred during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Whitlock appeared in 14 games and started five for the Giants last season, but he was placed on injured reserve prior to the 2016 campaign with a foot injury.
He was subsequently suspended 10 games for violating the NFL's policy against performance-enhancing substances.
