Bullock to Undergo Surgery

Friday, Dec. 2

Bullock will undergo surgery Saturday, per Keith Langlois of Pistons.com.

Updates on Bullock's Timeline for Return

Friday, Dec. 2

Bullock's timetable to return is to be determined, according to Langlois.

On Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Vertical reported Bullock will miss two to four months with the injury.

Bullock's Absence Hurts Pistons' Depth

Bullock, 25, has averaged 4.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 10.5 minutes per game through four appearances this season. With Tobias Harris and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope locked into starting spots on the wing and Stanley Johnson coming off the bench, Bullock has had a limited role for the team.

Bullock is probably ready to put 2016 behind him. He missed six games earlier in the season with back spasms and then missed six more with a hip pointer, per Aaron McMann of MLive, so his latest setback is unfortunately par for the course this season.

"Reggie's a pretty even-keel guy, so he's fine outwardly," Detroit head coach Stan Van Gundy told McMann. "But I know he's frustrated, because he wasn't ready to go at the beginning of the year and that cost him some time. And then he had worked his way back in the rotation. It's just really unfortunate for him."

With Bullock out, Johnson will likely play a bigger role off the bench, while Darrun Hilliard should see more minutes as well.
