Clayborn Loss Was a Significant Blow to Falcons D
The Falcons had a rough weekend, particularly on defense, despite their win over the Cardinals. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, star cornerback Desmond Trufant has to undergo season-ending surgery on the torn pectoral he injured in Week 9.
Losing Clayborn was a substantial blow for the Falcons. His 4.5 sacks this season rank second on the team and represent his best single-season total since 2013.
The Falcons have had their struggles on defense this season, but their pass rush led by Clayborn and Vic Beasley has been vastly improved.
