Manchester United vs. Feyenoord: Jose Mourinho's Key Pre-Match Presser Comments
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed he will exercise the option of extending Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract with the club to the end of next season and revealed his own desire to remain at Old Trafford beyond his three-year contract.
Mourinho said as much when he addressed the media ahead of Thursday's UEFA Europe League clash with Feyenoord, per the Press Association's Rich McCarthy:

The player himself hinted he would be open to staying for a second season, according to Metro's Chris Winterburn:
The 35-year-old Swede arrived on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and has netted eight goals in 17 appearances.
Per BBC Sport's Simon Stone, the Special One also opened up on his own future at the club:
According to Winterburn, he added:
When Mourinho returned to Chelsea for a second spell, he spoke of his aim to create a legacy at Stamford Bridge.
The 53-year-old was sacked last year amid a dismal spell with the Blues, and while his career at United has not got off to the best start—the club are arguably already out of the Premier League title race—he may yet achieve his goal in Manchester.
Per Winterburn, the Portuguese acknowledged the need to improve on their results:
"The results not good enough, especially if you compare the results with how the team is playing.
If you draw against Arsenal it is quite a normal result, it isn't a dramatic result. The drama comes when you dominate totally.
The result became really bad because of how well we performed. We can say we lost six points against Stoke [City], Burnley and Arsenal.
"
United have won just once in their last six Premier League games, a 3-1 victory against struggling Swansea City.
Mourinho insisted there remains a sense of optimism around Old Trafford, however, per the Red Devils' official Twitter feed:
Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic responded in typical fashion when his own form was questioned:
United head into Thursday's game one point behind Feyenoord and Fenerbahce, so picking up a win at Old Trafford is of vital importance.
Mourinho has set a clear target for his players:
If the Red Devils can win on Thursday, their future in the competition will be in their own hands, and they'll travel to Zorya Luhansk in the final match without needing to rely on other results to progress to the knockout stage.
United should be more than capable of doing so at home, but they'll need to find the clinical edge they've been lacking in recent matches, which is where Ibrahimovic comes in—his performance could have a significant impact on the result one way or another.
