Mike ChiariNov 2, 2016

On the heels of the successful Cruiserweight Classic, WWE announced the upcoming debut of a new cruiserweight-centric show on WWE Network called 205 Live on Wednesday.

According to WWE.com205 Live will premier exclusively on WWE Network on Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. ET with SmackDown's Mauro Ranallo and Raw's Corey Graves calling the action.

The show will be a weekly staple that airs live and features many of the cruiserweights who were in the CWC and are currently on Raw, including WWE Cruiserweight champion The Brian Kendrick and CWC winner TJ Perkins.

WWE Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative Triple H had the following to say about the addition to WWE Network's weekly lineup: "205 Live is a natural progression to showcase the depth of our roster. With world-class talent such as [Kendrick], [Perkins] and Rich Swann, 205 Live will be a must-see program on WWE Network."

Along with the aforementioned Superstars, WWE.com lists Noam Dar, HoHo Lun, Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik, Akira Tozawa, Jack Gallagher and the Bollywood Boyz as participants on the show.

Further details regarding the program remain unclear, but it figures to focus heavily on the fast-paced, in-ring action that the cruiserweights provide.

The 205 Live name is a nod to the fact that wrestlers must weight 205 pounds or less in order to be eligible for the cruiserweight division.

After the CWC produced some of the best matches of 2016, and now that the cruiserweights have added a dimension of excitement to Raw every single week, 205 Live promises to be a show that fans of athleticism and technical prowess in wrestling won't want to miss.
