Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Marco Verratti and Alexander Isak
Chelsea will reportedly look to capitalise on Marco Verratti's recent falling-out with Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery, but Juventus and Inter Milan will provide stiff competition. Meanwhile, the Blues "lead the race" to sign Swedish prodigy Alexander Isak.
Former Pescara midfielder Verratti has been linked with a Parc des Princes exit after speculation he's clashed with PSG chief Emery, and TalkSport reported Chelsea as being among the interested parties.

The Italy international was withdrawn after 59 minutes during Sunday's goalless draw with Olympique de Marseille, leading the player to react angrily upon his return to the PSG bench.
Get French Football News provided footage and translation of the incident in question, with Verratti seemingly perplexed as to why his boss would take him out of the fixture so early:
The 23-year-old has been a hit since arriving in Paris in 2012, going on to make a total of 169 appearances for PSG, per Transfermarkt, and establishing himself as a firm part of their XI.
However, the playmaker's agent, Donato Di Campli, has since come out insisting Verratti is committed to PSG and told French broadcaster Premium Sport (h/t MailOnline's Alex Martin) of his client's loyalties:
"Marco wants to win the Champions League in Paris, for now he absolutely won't move.
What bothered me was the reaction of the French radio and television commentators, not the club which has put him at the centre of their project and not the coach.
Marco deserves respect.
"
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has Nemanja Matic and N'Golo Kante as his starting central pair, while Goal's Nizaar Kinsella has reported on the possibility of Cesc Fabregas leaving the club next year.
A Fabregas departure would help make room for a young, big-money arrival, and Verratti has also been hit by recent controversy after images of him smoking were posted on social media:
Elsewhere, the Blues are said to be in pole position to land wonderkid Isak after Swedish newspaper Expressen (h/t the Sun's Oscar Powell) reported the 17-year-old signed with Serbian agent Vladica "Vlado" Lemic.
Lemic is known to have ties to the Stamford Bridge club already, and the Expressen report stated: "Lemic has strong contacts with the top European football clubs, and through Chelsea’s former sporting director Frank Arnesen, the Serb has established a relationship with Russian owner Roman Abramovich."
Chelsea won't be the only Premier League outfit chasing a youngster already being dubbed the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic, however, via Bleacher Report UK:
The Blues have gained something of a reputation in recent years for bringing in young talent only to restrict their first-team prospects, with Everton's Romelu Lukaku and Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne among the chief examples.
Isak may still see Stamford Bridge as a viable destination despite those failure stories, however, and Lemic could be the connection needed to make a move to west London materialise for the AIK striker.
