The Little Canary will be without its vulture in Merida as Neymar misses the game, but Brazil have a plethora of talent that should see them stroll to victory.
The Liverpool pairing of Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho are in red-hot form for club and country, and Brazil also have the burgeoning talent of Gabriel Jesus at their disposal.
Coutinho is in the best shape of his career, scoring four times in all competitions for the Merseyside club this season, according to WhoScored.com.
The midfielder has continued to deliver performances that prove he is on par with the best creative talent in England, as highlighted by Squawka Football:
Firmino has switched to striker for his club, which allows Brazil to play with fluidity and gives coach Tite maximum choice in attack.
Gabriel has exploded on to the international scene after gold-medal success at the recent Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, and Venezuela do not have the tools to stop him if he is selected to deputise for Neymar.
Stuart Brennan of the Manchester Evening News quoted Coutinho discussing the rise of the 19-year-old, and the Liverpool man believes he will take no time to adjust to life in the Premier League when he arrives at Manchester City in January.
"He is a crack player," said Coutinho. "He will have no difficulty in adapting—he is an agile, strong and fast player. Everything you need to play in England, he has it, and I'm sure he will do well."

The teenager has scored 11 goals in 20 appearances for Palmeiras in the Brasileiro Serie A, and he looks comfortable on the elevated stage for his nation.
Venezuela have shown little form in their most recent games, and Uruguay comprehensively dispatched the Venezuelans 3-0 on Thursday.
The top four teams in the CONMEBOL standings automatically qualify for the World Cup, allowing Brazil some breathing room. However, with Argentina in fifth spot, and only two points behind their South American adversaries, the Selecao require three points against La Vinotinto.
Brazil have recovered after a poor World Cup on home soil in 2014, and they have prevailed to position themselves within touching distance of qualification for Russia 2018.
Gabriel is only on the cusp of developing into the global superstar he promises to be, but he has already taken on the responsibility of finding the net when Brazil need his goals.
Neymar might be absent—and his country's most important individual player—but Brazil will not miss him at the Estadio Metropolitano de Merida.
